Preauricular Skin Tags

Preauricular skin tags are small flaps of skin that are located in front of the ear. While these skin tags are usually harmless, they can be a source of self-consciousness for some children. Excisional surgery is often the primary option for preauricular skin tags. It involves removing the skin tag along with a margin of healthy tissue. This procedure can sometimes be done under local anaesthetic for older children.
